In the dim past, life was a lot simpler It was based more on a physical presence rather than some kind of local idea of what constitutes the norm rather than taking charge based on a visual.
The world shrank into small worlds that turn on a daily basis of who is in control of the protocol at any particular time. Many people are totally self-contained. They have no horizons, only conditions that control and effect outcomes.
