At first, I thought it was going to be just another airplane ride like all the others that I take every week and have for decades! Hey, it's my job! No big deal!! Right?
But no, not this time, this time I'm in a free fall event that made me a front-page story but one I wish I could have prevented.
It all started when I asked for a seat in the middle of the aircraft as I believe that's where the best ride is in the event of rough weather. But little did I know sitting next to the emergency door, in the middle of the plane would be my undoing.
