That picture of the grand Sequoria that was cut down that stood for 1300 years just for to be cut up for lumber and profit was unsettling. What is important today was of no importance as they lived day to day and the future was so far away.
But today we are living it today. We are living history and our kids and grandkids will not have nice things to say about us as they are living in a cardboard box behind Walmart fighting over the remains in the dumpster!
Just think about this for a minute or two and given what we know is important to civil society as our heritage in this country, and how what we do now will affect those that come after us!
The question I have is, wasn't there any other alternative thinking when cutting down something that stood for more the 1300 years just for lumber?
Is this like what we are doing to our children as young as 5 years old?
What kind of legacy will that leave for the future?
