Chicago's mayor Lightweight(foot) is pleased that so few people were murdered this week as the criminal gangs in the area are trying to regroup their transpiration fleets from the larger SUVs to more gas saving type cars.
The mayor's office issued a statement saying ''the increased gas price is a good thing if we can reduce the shootings and killings on our streets to a tolerable level we all can live with.'' (?)
According to the mayor, ''living is important to the success of this city. Being dead doesn't cut it!''

| Being killed in drive0by shooting of rival gang members is one thing but having the regular citizens being gunned down by the hundreds a month in the ''cross fire'' is certainly not an acceptable situation. |
