Here are some things that happened this week:
  • More insurance companies are joining Obamacare.
  • The health insurance industry wants more taxpayer subsidies to support the purchase of health insurance.
  • Unless Congress appropriates new funds, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) will run out of money next year.
  • The government is spending $60 million to hire "Obamacare navigators" to help citizens navigate the complex health law.
  • Obamacare doesn't work so well for small businesses. The Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) has been delayed.again.
  • Obamacare subsidies for 1 million people may be too high or too low.
  • House Republicans think that Obamacare subsidies should be suspended until the Administration can verify that they are sending the right amount to the right people.
  • Get used to slow economic growth. It may be the new normal.
