What's needed is for more people with a clear vision of what has to be done to actually save our country from destruction from within and without. I know this is hard to believe since we have been blessed with incredible security from those that want to kill us, but now since 2001 we are at risk of being attacked again. Sadly, many have fallen back into the fantasy that we are invulnerable and all we have to do to be safe is stay home and let the world go it's own way.
Dick Cheney explains how this approach will not give us security as Mr Obama ignores world events, but increases the chances of our own destruction.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney is not so timid, and makes his opinion known not just on the on-going security collapse in Iraq, but the entirety of Obama’s foreign policy in a Wall Street Journal op-ed co-authored by his daughter Liz.
For being as brutally honestly as only he can, Dick Cheney is our “Winner of the Day.”

As Iraq has been under the threat of collapse for the past two weeks, few members of the George W. Bush Administration have offered to speak about the way President Obama is handling the growing crisis. Many have been avoiding the pundit circuit for fear it would only add to the DC blame game, not help the situation on the ground. (Winner of the Day) - Right Wisconsin

On a trip to the Middle East this spring, we heard a constant refrain in capitals from the Persian Gulf to Israel, "Can you please explain what your president is doing?" "Why is he walking away?" "Why is he so blithely sacrificing the hard fought gains you secured in Iraq?" "Why is he abandoning your friends?" "Why is he doing deals with your enemies?"
In one Arab capital, a senior official pulled out a map of Syria and Iraq. Drawing an arc with his finger from Raqqa province in northern Syria to Anbar province in western Iraq, he said, "They will control this territory. Al Qaeda is building safe havens and training camps here. Don't the Americans care?"
Our president doesn't seem to. Iraq is at risk of falling to a radical Islamic terror group and Mr. Obama is talking climate change. Terrorists take control of more territory and resources than ever before in history, and he goes golfing. He seems blithely unaware, or indifferent to the fact, that a resurgent al Qaeda presents a clear and present danger to the United States of America.
For being as brutally honestly as only he can, Dick Cheney is our “Winner of the Day.”
