To see this aircraft up close is adventure is imagination and heart stopping amazement that such an aircraft didn't continue in this vain of sub and super sonic design. Two were built but one went down in an midair collision with an escort. (These pictures of the XB-70 from a friend. He said seeing this aircraft one could only remark in a loss of breath, ''Jesus Christ''!)
Remember the SR-71? Flying higher and faster then anything on earth! My God these are magnificent aircraft!!
