Probably the problem lies in their inability to relate to a common sense theme of basic knowledge life and living. That is, what does it take to be a function member of a civil society that is founded on hard work and self awareness.
Also maybe that they are angry they are not the center of the universe as young adults like they were growing up in a privileged environment, and they don't like it!
They believe then their only recourse to this dilemma, regaining that status of privilege is to destory all others that find success without hate and destructive tendencies.
