It seems now that the progressives believe if you allow others to take control of your life, success and prosperity will be assured. They believe having to work for a living is a thing of the past. Others will pay for the good life. All that is required of you is obedience to what you are told to do and say, where and when to go and come back. What to eat and how much. It's easy to comply.
That you already have a good job that provides for yourself and your family and a future is not something others find necessary. Others will use that source for the funding those that have no need of a future other then just finding ways to live without responsibility. The good life!
Now that doesn't seen so bad, right?
