A lot of people, (many adults?) are looking forward to getting dressed up like someone or something that they knew back when they could do this and everyone thought it was just cute, not a sign of intellectual brilliance like today.
But now the old people are frantically looking for some kind of the Custome that will out do what they did last year to impress their friends. Okay, let's not get our undies in a bundle, it's just a contest between friends.
But if they were really want a scary costume, they would dress up in a dark suit and tie with a sign around their necks stating, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help!''
