It just makes them feel better than having get upset trying to digest information that's in conflict with what their ''lying eyes'' tell them is the truth in real time!
For many Americans, they have never had to make such decisions in their lives. The conflict and chaos it causes is to too painful to understand that they have been wrong their entire livers!
