Leadership like this will be very hard to replace if at all. There are just so many perfect people in the world and to have one at the center of power is incredible.
We will miss your smile and steady leadership! RIP!
Today, we mourn an equestrian. A woman who just simply loved horses and was visibly delighted to be in their presence. Who had the world at her fingertips and chose to find joy on the back of a horse. Who started riding at the age of 3, and continued riding for her entire 96-year long life. Who contributed more to equestrian sport than we could even contain in one post. She was known for having near "encyclopedic" knowledge of horse racing, especially English-bred Thoroughbred racehorses. Today, we mourn the greatest queen, Queen Elizabeth II.
A little-known fact is that she actually used to open Royal Ascot by galloping the track herself (pictured below).
As stated by Vanity Fair, "The Ascot officials were probably horrified from a safety perspective, but it’s the Queen’s course, so she can do what she wants."
We'll never forget Lilibet.
