The mystery of Michael Hasting's death deepens. [Hastings was the Rolling Stone journalist whose reporting forced General Stanley McChrystal to resign from his command of US forces in Afghanistan. Three weeks ago, Hastings died in a car accident in Los Angeles while driving a new Mercedes. The massive explosion that destroyed his car and threw its engine and drive train over a hundred feet in the opposite direction of travel was what one might expect from a bomb.
