The Media Twists and Turns

The liberal never say die - this latest flap about the levees is just one more attempt by the puppet masters to make the Democrats look stupid while trying to crush the elected government of this country.

What actually is going on? The left of center media has a tape of a meeting that took place a few days before Katrina hit New Orleans. In the tape, someone asked the president what he thought would happen when the water "over-topped" the levees. He answered something to the effect that is was a grave situation and that FEMA would do be there to assist the local officials.

As we all know, FEMA was not prepared to handle the consequence's of such a catastrophe as a category 4 hurricane, and one that would eventually breach the levees and destroy almost the whole city.

The media is just spinning this video tape to make trouble for George Bush. First, the tape wasn't leaked like they said, the Bush administration gave it to the media back in August of last year and secondly, the media is in full flight on the smallest one word part of the tape. The reporter asked about the "over-topping" of the levees and when asked about the levees when they broke four days after the strom, Bush said he didn't know that they wouldn't hold.

Here comes the line that the press can't hold back on, it's their favorite, "Bush lied". The key here is, of course, is that he was asked about the water 'over-flowing' into the city, nobody asked about a breach. Big difference. But the media decided to change that little part for dramatic effect when they went public yesterday. The antique media thought the stupid public wouldn't pick up on this little change.

They had the tape all this time but decided back then it was of no use. It was a straight forward news conference. Someone must have been reviewing tapes looking for something they could use and saw an opportunity to twist the truth a little and hammer the government with the lie.

What a bunch of losers.

See how the pirates attack the big vessels hoping to inflect enough damage to come along side and board her in the smoke. This time, as in the past, they aren't strong enough, but that could change. The ship of state has to always be well armed, and make sure her powder is dry or we will all be chained to the oars.
