Health Care Spending Highest in History : ObamaCare Legacy

That the population is spending more now then ever before in history is of little consequence to the progressive democrats that demanded and got a nation wide health care law, ObamaCare. Single Payer for all tenses and purposes.

Nancy Pelosi proclaimed before ObamaCare was voted into law, " We have to pass this bill to fine out what's in it". Is this a good reason to vote for a bill? No one had read it but it was demanded that all democrats vote as they were told or else. And they did and it passed. Not one Republican voted for ObamaCare.

That the original law was proposed to help 2% of the population that didn't have insurance coverage, but instead has effectively destroyed health care itself for the entire nation, is also of no consequence, as this was the objective in the first place of the progressive socialist democrats. They believe if they can control what health care the people have access to, they will be able to control all other outcomes.

So far it has worked perfectly. More then 40% of the population still believes the progressive democrats are doing what ever they can to help them fix out health care problems. Democrat always roll out the party line that they are the party of the people. Democrats care.

What seems to be lost on so many among us is the health care problems that we have to day are actually due to progressive democrat policy.

Biggest Jump in Health Care Spending in over 30 Years

According to advance estimates from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, health care spending grew a whopping 9.9 percent in the first quarter of 2014, reports Business Insider.

The jump is the biggest percent change in health care spending in more than 30 years -- in 1980, health care spending rose 10 percent in the third quarter of the year. After adjusting for inflation, the United States is spending more on health care than ever before in history.
  • Personal consumption grew 3 percent from the fourth quarter of 2013 to the first quarter of 2014.
  • Half of that consumption was due to health care spending growth, as Americans signed up for health insurance on the exchanges and qualified for Medicaid coverage.
Of the 8 million who enrolled in insurance plans during open enrollment, half signed up in March or during the first two weeks of April, so the United States could continue to see even higher spending increases next quarter.
