ObamaCare Update Studies Vary : True or False?

Here is a good over-view of ObamaCare from the National Center for Policy Analysis that will start your week off with some information you can use when debating the health care system. Even though some of this information is questionable, especially on the number signed up and paid, still it worth reading and then discussed.

Obamacare update. As the new exchanges continue to attract lots of sick people, the health insurance companies reported that 80-90% of new enrollees have already paid their first month's premium. This is in stark contrast to the estimate that only 67% of new enrollees have paid, published in a recent report by the House Energy & Commerce Committee. The discrepancy was a cause of frustration among Republicans this week.

Another new study found that health insurance saves lives. The study found that mortality fell by almost 3% in Massachusetts after the Bay State adopted their famous health reform plan. Obamacare supporters are predictably touting this new study to bolster the sagging popularity of Obamacare.

Ironically, Massachusetts is quietly trying to scrap its entire health exchange because it doesn't work.
