How many times have we been on the edge of doing something that was against our better judgement but we did it anyway? How come?
Some people think it's because we are submersed in a culture where most believe what we are told is the truth like our parents or government officials did, that administered the law of the land. We just don't say no to these people until push comes to shove. and even then most just do what tis demanded of them by habit.
A weakness of a true civil society of laws? It is a old saying, ''A sucker is born every minute and two to take them!''
Little wonder then when an advertiser explains you will be a better person in your community if you buy this product or join a certain organization or vote for someone that is said to be working in our best interest and civil society where everyone will benefit.
But of course we don't have good answers for anything like this but we have rely on past experiences especially if we have been on the wrong end of past purchases, or learn the organization we joined are found to be fraudulent organizations that act not in our best interests.
So we wind up learning by experience and hopefully without dire results so we won't make the same mistake again!
Fool me once ,same on you! Fool twice, shame on me! |
