Congress to Vote Out "Death Panels" - Hopefully

Say goodbye to 'death panels' - hopefully!

National Center for Policy Analysis
In the House of Representatives, the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 17-5 this week to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). If you recall, IPAB is a fifteen-member panel created by the Obamacare health reform law. IPAB is charged with controlling costs in Medicare and is empowered to deny certain services that are deemed too costly. The House of Representatives is expected to consider the legislation later this month.
