Went out for a quick bike ride today as the rain finally stopped for a while and the sun felt like it was summer but the temperature was only 61. Still it was nice to just spin along the country roads and smell the fresh cut hay in the fields and honeysuckles and lilacs that are still in bloom.
But what has always made these rides a puzzle for me is why the wind is always in my face no matter what direction I go in. I wonder if it's just Wisconsin or does this happen to everyone that rides a bike no matter where they live?
I have been riding for ten years, and racing for just about as many, and it has always been the same no matter what the season, spring, summer or fall. My friends say the same thing. Whatz up with that?
