Vietnam Veteran Needs Medical Help : Tells A Story of Incompetence At The VA

A Vietnam Vet, a friend, tells us a story of incompetence at the VA hospital in Minneapolis.

A few days ago, a friend of mine went to the Minneapolis VA Hospital for a routine physical. His lab results indicated he had a severe kidney problem and he was admitted until they could could sort it out. They think he developed an intolerance to one of his med’s and his wife called Marcia this afternoon to let us know he is now home.

While hospitalized, he shared a room with two other vet’s, one terminally ill and another who was released before my friend. Clergy and the family of the dying man were called to his side (one daughter came all the way from Texas) before the VA realized they had made a mistake. He wasn’t dying after all. It was the other guy, the one they released, who only had days or hours to live!
