What is reality, I mean really? If you see an object standing before you, your car for example, is it reasonable to say that it actually standing in your driveway, or is it reasonable to say maybe it is standing there or maybe it isn't?
What in our past history and education has brought us to a point in time where we believe what we see as solid objects does actually exist? There are lots of ways we learn about reality but the most important is from experience and the experience of those that have gone before us.
Objects really only exist in there present form because we have had some past sensory history with solid objects. We have also touched them with all of our senses and, at the same time, someone with more sensory history than ourselves told us what we are touching is a car. Make sense? Sure -
So, touching, smelling, hearing and seeing the same object again in a different environment reinforces our belief that this object does exit. And so it is with everything in our lives from the day we first took our first breath. We learn from experience, events that impact our lives in a personal way. Heat, light, cold, silence, loud noises, joy and fear among others.
But what stagers the imagination about reality is the huge number of people that deny the concept. These same people will deny anything in this world that they don't understand or refuse to except as reality because it will change their lives in ways that makes them uncomfortable. I know, from experience and education, the bear that is coming toward me is not a good thing for my well being, but seeing that I can't out-run the bear, and the consequences of just standing here are to much to comprehend, I will pretend the bear isn't there. Problem solved, right?
Millions and millions of people will deny that 9/11 ever happened and millions more will say it was a problem of the past and ignore all the history since that time and before. They choose not to believe events such as the Twin Towers attack have a direct effect on them because they have created an alternate reality that make them feel better and one that works with their agenda of career building and family solidarity. Or " don't make waves, my life and career are on track ".
With Europe in economic chaos, anti-Semitism out of control and the Islamic community demanding more rights to control their own lives in anyway they want to, refusing to assimilate into the greater population of the host country, terrorist attacks in virtually every country and threats from the terrorists to continue the attacks until all nations come under the heal of Islam, millions in this country still believe we don't have a problem.
It has become clear, in light of these resent events, the liberal press and the liberal Democrats continue to support the notion that we are headed in the wrong direction by taking the fight to the enemy. By their reasoning all we have to do is go back to the old days and old ways of dealing with world problems. If we just go the the terrorists and talk to them and engage them in meaningful dialogue, we can come to understand each other. Trying to kill one another never solved anything.
The left is in total denial of reality. Remember how successful the old days were? The liberal left have no concept of learning from past history. The world is no larger then their own back yards. They truly believe if we hope for the best, it will happen. If we deny the existence of terror it really doesn't exist and if we repeat the denial often enough, like all lies, it becomes fact.
I believe this, in a small way, begins to explain the liberal agenda for America. Ignore the reality of a threat to our country or our very existence and everything will come roses.
The liberal believes with all his heart that we can recapture the old feeling from the glory years of the 90's when things were not so complicated and stressful. Believe that taxing those that have more will help those that are less fortunate, and by disengaging from all world affairs we can regain America's former world standings as a country of piece and prosperity for all. Make love, not war.
Trust us, the liberal Democrats say, and we will make it all happen for you. Now, where is the reality?
