Government Corruption of American Will to Survive?

Has our government become so insensitive to corruption and out right theft of our freedoms that they are willing believe we the people are unaware of their intentions?

Does this short piece from the past have any revalance to what we see happening now with our leader and his progressive agenda? Is there really nothing new under the sun? Is history repeating itself?
