Hugo Chavez is just another would-be communist like Jimmy Carter and other liberal Democrats in the United States Congress. The liberals want the communists to succeed as they will use their success as an example for turning the United States into a Marxist paradise like the old Soviet Union.
As one might predict, the revolt in Venezuela might not be able to castrate the communists dictator and close buddy of America liberals, but it is a good sign the people know Chavez for the monster that he is and are taking action - as we know the liberals in this country but are doing nothing.
The article from the America Thinker is a good one and you won't find it anywhere else as the liberal press will hide such good news for the stupid America public.

More of Jimmy Carter is Still the Worst
You know how I dislike Jimmy Carter and he has made it easy to do so -
Mr. Peanut
Clarice Feldman
Chris Hitchens has an honest evaluation of Jimmy Carter, who has the distinction of being both the worst President and worst Ex-President of my lifetime:
In the Carter years, the United States was an international laughingstock. This was not just because of the prevalence of his ghastly kin: the beer-sodden brother Billy, doing deals with Libyan President Muammar Qaddafi, and the grisly matriarch, Miz Lillian. It was not just because of the president's dire lectures on morality and salvation and his weird encounters with lethal rabbits and UFOs. It was not just because of the risible White House "Bible study" sessions run by Bert Lance and his other open-palmed Elmer Gantry pals from Georgia. It was because, whether in Afghanistan, Iran, or Iraq-still the source of so many of our woes-the Carter administration could not tell a friend from an enemy. His combination of naivete and cynicism-from open-mouthed shock at Leonid Brezhnev's occupation of Afghanistan to underhanded support for Saddam in his unsleeping campaign of megalomania-had terrible consequences that are with us still. It's hardly an exaggeration to say that every administration since has had to deal with the chaotic legacy of Carter's mind-boggling cowardice and incompetence.
Give him the hook already!

The UN in Comic Refief
You have to read this as it shows how worthless the UN really is and always has been - this is form the American Thinker -
Tragedy as comedy
Ethel C. Fenig
Riddle: why is the UN like a Marx Brothers (or for the more contemporary, Jim Carey) comedy? Because they say and do unbelievably silly things and get away with it.
And proving that comedy can be a cover for tragedy, while we can enjoy the antics of the comedians, the UN drives all to despair, and more, with its tragic behavior.
In the latest comic UN example masking true tragedy,Zimbabwe won approval on Friday to head a key U.N. body charged with promoting economic progress and environmental protection
Yes, Zimbabwe! Zimbabwe that country headed by
President Robert Mugabe, an 83-year-old who has ruled Zimbabwe since it gained independence from Britain in 1980, has been criticized by the West and domestic opponents for repression, corruption, acute food shortages and gross economic mismanagement that has driven inflation above 2,000 percent -- the highest in the world. Mugabe has acknowledged that police used violent methods against opposition supporters. (Italics added.)
Yep, just the country, the ideal role model even " to head a key UN body charged with promoting economic progress and environmental protection." The only good news, kind of, sort of, is that there were actually some
protests from the U.S., European nations and human rights organizations.
Wow!
"We're very disappointed in the election of Zimbabwe as chair," said the U.S. representative to the commission Dan Reifsnyder, deputy assistant secretary for environment and science at the State Department."We really think it calls into question the credibility of this organization to have a representative from a country that has decimated its agriculture, that used to be the breadbasket of Africa and can't now feed itself," said Reifsnyder.
In addition,
Several European nations have also called Zimbabwe's candidacy inappropriate.
On Friday, the Pan African Parliament, a body of the African Union, voted to send a mission to Zimbabwe to investigate alleged human rights abuses "relating to the arrests and detention, assault and murder of political activists and members of the media."
"Zimbabwe is hardly a model of good governance or sustainable development or even responsible leadership," Benjamin Chang, deputy spokesman for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, said before the vote. "Our concern is that it's potential chairmanship would undermine the commission's credibility."
Undermining the credibility of a UN body? You mean the UN, which brought us the oil for food scandal among so many, many others, which devotes an inordinate amount of time condemning Israel for defending itself, has any credibility among decent thinking people? Actually, the Zimbabwe appointment fits right in with the UN's current lack of credibility. It is so-o-o appropriate.

Liberals hate Good News About America
Well how do you do - here is more good news about our economy which has to absolutely kill the Marxist Democrats that want America to crash and burn -
As good socialists, they hate the market economy especially one that has served America for hundreds of years. They want a socialist system that will destroy all that America is but leave them with huge banks accounts overseas. The liberals want everything you and I have including our souls - remember they hate Christians too -
Missing Headlines (a continuing series)
Ed Lasky
"April Revenue Shower" - The Wall Street Journal reports:
"Here's the "surge" you aren't reading about: the continuing flood of tax revenue into the federal Treasury.
Tax receipts for April were $70 billion above the same month in 2006, and April 24 marked the single biggest day of tax collections in U.S. history, at $48.7 billion, according to the latest Treasury report.
"The April comparison is slightly askew because the IRS processed more returns than usual this year. But there's no denying that Americans are sending more money than ever to Washington; revenues for the first seven months of fiscal 2007 are up 11.3%, or $153 billion.
This Beltway bonanza has helped to slash the projected federal budget deficit by more than half "

Marxist Media Not Interested in Good News
The Marxist media will hate to even think about such a horrible thing as the Army National Guard meeting and surpassing it enrollment 6 months ahead of time.
You can just imagine the socialist bastards in congress that will grind their collective jaws when hearing this news - I hope those hateful monsters have a bad day -
Trouble for the National Guard? No just good news!
Gerd SchroederI bet most haven't seen this good news for the war effort reported in the major media; but it seems that someone forgot to tell the National Guard that we have lost the War. Better get on the Harry. It could be contagious.
Army Guard reaches 350,000-member goal ahead of schedule
ARLINGTON, Va. (4/23/2007) - The Army National Guard reached its congressionally authorized end strength of 350,000 Citizen-Soldiers on March 30, six months earlier than originally projected, Army Guard officials have reported.
Here are the main facts from Lt. Col. Diana Craun, the Army Guard's deputy chief for strength maintenance.
1. "Retention is highest among units that have returned from deployments, and retention is an essential element in end strength,"
2. It is the first time that the Army Guard has been at full strength since 1999
3. As long as someone doesn't turn off the machine, as long as we have the resources available to recruit like we do now, I fully expect us to be around 356,000 at the end of this year," Lt. Gen. Clyde Vaughn, director of the Army Guard, said in Congressional testimony on April 11.
4. The achievement follows one of the Army Guard's most successful recruiting and retention years in its history
5. The force experienced a net growth of 13,111 Soldiers during fiscal year 2006, Guard officials said, and it surpassed its retention goal of 34,875 by reenlisting 41,083 Soldiers.
6. unprecedented for the all-volunteer force since the end of the military draft 34 years ago.
7. More than 70 percent of the new readiness and retention NCOs have served in Iraq or Afghanistan or elsewhere during the Global War on Terrorism and can speak firsthand about the challenges and the benefits of serving in the Guard
8. Two years ago, recruiters contacted an average of 49 prospects for every one who signed a contract. Now, the contact to contract ratio is 22 to 1.
If this news gets out, the media and the democrats will go into major damage control mode. But it is not likely that it will. The report was reliased on the 23rd of April (almost two weeks ago). The military public affairs has some responsibility in letting the media get away with not reporting this key inticator of support for the war among the troops.
For years we have heard how the National Guard is on the verge of collaps. But each year the liberal prophets are proven wrong. The American Military is far more resiliant than the media has portrayed.

Liberals Live By and For Lies
Was there ever a time when you thought the liberal left was telling the truth? Naaa!
How the left argues
Thomas Lifson
Soros-funded Media Matters operates in essence a briefing organization, supplying left wing journalists and opinion leaders with talking points to discredit conservative media, especially talk show hosts, in a press release today. It was mass emailed even to me this morning. Media Matters debunks in advance a program they haven't seen, a one hour global warming TV show by Glenn Beck, of Headline News and talk radio.
Rather than dispute any any of the substantive issues likely to be on the show, Media Matters supplies ammunition to argue that the views expressed on the show are from a discredited source. This document perfectly expresses the dominant attitude of the left, which sees as conservatives as evil, not to be listened to, for fear of the satanic appeal of Rush Limbaugh and company. Read the press release here.
