Millions of citizens in America are ready to accept being told what to do and when to do it! They want to have others run their lives as making decisions for themselves is just too hard when others are more suited to that task.
'Yeah, sometimes the orders are not what we like as we might want to take a different direction. But look on the bright side, I still have my phone.' (But of course, what you can say on it or what apps you can have are decided by others.)
Now is that so bad??? The Chinese are doing it and have for generations!
The transportation function is decided by socialist leadership. Most people won't have a car as that allows you too much freedom to go and do things which are probably not acceptable to leadership.
All that's necessary is a little change in your lifestyle to make you feel better about being in an open-air prison.
