Mr Objma would have handled the crisis a little differently then FDR. In that he instead of declaring war like FDR for attacking us at Pearl Harbor, Mr Objma would have order a special 'double' or even a 'triple' blue ribbon panel, which has never been done before, of experts to assess the situation and then render their opinions at the end of the day.
And after Mr Objma returned from the golf course as history might have indicated, even as early as the beginning of he back nine, and intertained the findings from the blue ribbon panel of experts, he would have rejected the findings as they would certainly be much like the ones from FDR concluded was the only option he had that made sense.
Mr Objma, on the other hand, never contemplated war as an option. After all, all we lost were some ships and just a few thousand men, that is certainly no reason to go to war. And besides, given how we mistreated the Japanese over the years, it makes good sense that we send good wishes, reparations for any military equipment that might have lost, and apologizes for out indiscrations and misdeeds. Hoping all the while that his actions on our part will be enough to bring the Japanese to the table to discuss and alleviate the anger that the Japanese have for us.
Now After solving this 'set back' in foreign diplomacy, and really being a little put-off having to interrupt his game that was starting to come together, he has been struggling with a terrible slice, can now return to the golf course to finish the back nine, hopefully, with some sort of renewed focus that was lost do to the unfortunate interruption.
History doesn't have any record of how Mr Objma's golf game actually finish on that day in Infamy. And if the truth be known, which we will never know, how the history books that detailed those discussions and the outcome, could be so wrong. I think learning German would have been lot easier then leaning Japanese.
