Life Well Lived Begets Knowledge : Youth V. Maturity (Humor)

There's a moral here in that it's fantastic to be young and bright but to really become educated, one has to experience life in the real world. It's not enough to be able to writhe down your answer to a question on the meaning of life, it takes living the life to have the answer that sustains.

This below is a fun example of how living and learning from life's trails and tribulations begets
knowledge from experience. And if you are young and ambitious, all the better to enjoy the knowledge of others that have gone before you.
An old man became very bored in retirement and decided to open a medical clinic.

He put up a sign outside that stated: "Dr. Geezer's Clinic. Get your treatment for $500, if not cured, get back $1,000".

Dr. "Young" who was positive that the old man didn't know much about medicine thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000.

So Dr. Young went to Dr. Geezer's clinic and stated "I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me"?

Dr. Geezer said to his nurse "please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young's mouth."

Dr Young stated Aaagh!! "This is gasoline", Dr. Geezer said "Congratulations, you've got your taste back. That will be $500.

Dr. Young got annoyed and goes back after a couple days figuring to recover his money. Dr. Young "I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything".

Dr. Geezer: "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient's mouth." Dr. Young states "Oh no you don't,  that is gasoline!" Dr. Geezer states "congratulations! You have your memory back. That will be $500".

Dr. Young, after having lost $1,000 leaves angrily and several days later comes back and states, Dr Geezer "my eyesight has become weak, I can hardly see anything".

Dr. Geezer states, "Well I don't have any medicine for that so here's your $1,000" handing Dr. Young a $10 bill.

Dr. Young states, "but this in only $10!!!"

Dr. Geezer stated "congratulations, you got your vision back! That will be $500".

Moral of the story is just because you are "young" doesn't mean you can out smart an "Old Geezer"
