There is a limit to how fast a civil society can change from keeping warm by the fire and allowing a machine to decide what and how they should life and treat each other.
At some point we have to remain in control of who and what we are or we will lose our humanity that would deny us the ability to remain independent and functional human beings
But as technology moves so quickly as it has during the last several decades, we become lost in the monument and unable to digest what's happening in the larger society which leaves most of us subconsciously stumbling about unsure of what is taking place and how we fit in!?
The result is stress and hyper anxiety over trying to understand what just happened today before the next invocation tomorrow comes along that changes everything again!
Innovation in Graphic Televison technology, the internet speed advancements and the carry over into medicine and everything mechanical which all effects the spiritual as well!
People are wondering what to do today with everything that's new and therefore distracted from what will happen so quickly tomorrow but have no idea how it will affect their daily lives. Today is stress enough!
