Joe knows what awaits him as he leaves the White House for the last time. There isn't much that goes on his head anymore but this is one thing he knows, these last steps on the red carpet will be the end of 50 years of a life in government employment without being responsible for anything.
What a fun and engaging time. But the free ride is finally over. Time to rest and reflect.
