Once you crash land your fight mechanism, usually the next step for your ride is the scrap yard! At some point you have to decide if there is any chance for repair and then decide if you have the money and motivation to try and fly again.
It's very unnerving to destroy your means of transportation knowing that it wasn't mechanical failure but your inability to make the proper decisions at the right time to make the craft do what it was designed to do, actually fly and then land without misshape.
For Kamomala, that she actually got off the ground without disaster was unexpected, but then once airborne, toke the craft places it wasn't designed to be causing stress and disfigurement in its most basic structure making what happened on her final approach for a soft landing impossible!
