It does make a lot of sense given she seems to have a sixth sense concerning how life actually works in a civil society. Even though she lives in New York and was a bar tender doesn't mean she doesn't have the necessary skills to lead the free world.
Although when we consider what Jor Biiyden did for 4 years, and that of those 4 years he was on vacation nearly 50% of the time and severely mentally compromised, he reeked massive destruction on the country and got very rich at the same time.
Of course, we must look past that as just an anomaly of complete incompetence, it doesn't necessarily carry forward for someone with real people skills like AOC learned while tending bar, many believe it will do wonders for her leadership skills as commander and chief!
This is how real leaders with real skills accomplish tasks most others fall short on!
