Maybe this is a little extreme but still it was the way of things when living trhe good life was what ever happens, happens!, ''Survival of the Fittest''
Maybe, but no one gave it second thought that this behavior was risky? Life then was taken for granted that was just the way of things back when there weren't so many people looking over our shoulders to make sure everyone was under control of the brightest and smartest among us, those at the levers of power.
Perhaps life ahs become so compressed and regulated we have lost sight of live life itself to the fullest and realizing it is impossible to demand and regulate all aspects of what is important for living free.
Making misstates is also an interregnal part of growth that is important in a learning sequence that is lost today. That is, if you never experienced failure, when does happen, and is enviable, the results are catastrophic.
My goodness, what could possible go wrong here, both back in the day and again today? |
