Nobody knows really who she is but given where and how she grew up; it clear the Somali environment was steeped in agenda and Muslim ideology where women are objects and not people, it was take as much as you can for your self to survive and to hell with the rest.
Where she came from and why she says and does things that are contrary to common sense or the rules of a civilized society explains her but doesn't exonerate her from being a product of a 6th century Muslim society and applying those rules to an American society was like a dream come true.
America, the land of plenty with a people that actually care what happens to the disadvantaged. Omar saw this was much like shooting fish in a barrel!
