When ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise!? Socialists and communists understand to win the people over to giving up their freedom to chose, they must first convince them they will be much better off living in a world of compliance rather then having to continually decide on the own what is in their best interest for making their own existence right for them!
At first it will work, but once the reality of having others telling the people what is better for them, rather than what the induvial wants and thinks, rapidly diminishes, then turns to fear, regret and then violence!
Marxism was never about prosperity, it was only about getting and keep the power for control; who has it and who doesn't! Those without power must obediently comply with those who do!
