Well, as the good book says, Noah had a ''sit-down'' with the Lord concerning His plan to get rid of a bunch of people that were not in compliance with His laws, telling Noah to build a boat and collect all of the animals from around the earth, of each gender and species, and await for the time to leave.
And then when the Lord would give the word to shut the door, with him and his family aboard, the rain will start and float his boat until the rains end which was undetermined at that time. But no one cared, something big was going to happen.
And as we all know though after 40 days the rain did stop allowing the occupants to return to solid ground and start new lives as best as the could.
As stated here, Noah could have asked for a second opinion on just how much water was coming and some new rules from government leaders to impose for the amount of rain fall that's necessary to sustain life without excessive amounts that would be unproductive.
That suggestion from scientists at the time would have fallen on deaf ears!
And what has really changed over the ensuing years?
