The question that remains is why do so many intellectuals hide when confronted by reality?

Ignorance breeds destruction and chaos in a civil socieity. But then many in places of power want it that way. When leadership's ideology is to gain the ultimate power for control, using others as pawns in the cause, the answer to the question becomes clear.

A population that has no idea where they came from and has no idea where they are going, but are just waiting for someone to tell them what to do and where to go.

To have a curiosity about why things happen and what place you occupy is not high on their priority of need to know.
