The problem now, of course, is Mr Obama, a progressive socialist democrat or worse, will veto anything that might hurt his agenda, socialist ideology and voter base.

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) is reintroducing a bill that would expand education opportunities for students with disabilities, as well as children of military families and children of low-income families in Washington, D.C. The CHOICE Act (more formally, the Creating Hope and Opportunity for Individuals and Communities through Education Act) would:
- Provide startup funding to states to establish school choice programs for disabled children.
- Create a scholarship program on military bases that would provide up to $8,000 (for elementary students) and $12,000 (for high school students) for tuition.
- Increase the scope of Washington, D.C.'s Opportunity Scholarship Program by requiring that excess funds be used for more scholarships and outreach efforts.
