Given what has transpired over the last weeks in Ukraine, it becomes clear Putin has got a tiger by the tail and finds if he let's go, he is toast. Even worse for him in this situation, if he hangs on to the tiger's tail, he if doomed to another Afghanistan that brought Russia a huge disaster to his country where thousands of military personal were killed and equipment loss that brought escalating economic problems.
The Russian Afghanistan adventure was a disaster just as the Ukraine invasion is going to be much the same. Just think how much fun it will be to establish some kind of control of the population with a Ukrainian rifle around ever tree or every door!
A nightmare of another catastrophic failure of his own making!
