The problem here is this man hopes the United Nations and most of the world wide community will take a stand for what is happening in North Korea. His hopes are not reality. Most of the United Nations countries don't really care.
To take a stand against a brutal and sadistic country like North Korea is just too difficult, and challenges their principles of being non confrontational even to the point when it effects everyone everywhere. To stand aside while such unbelievable catastrophic events take place is just history repeating it's self.
The fear of having to defend oneself on principle is just to scary. It's just easier to let others do the heavy lifting while others hide behind platitudes of 'why can't we just get along'.
But wait, maybe that's changing now that the most hated man in the world has the reigns of power in the United States.

SEOUL, South Korea—In an exclusive interview with The Daily Signal, human rights activist Shin Dong-hyuk shows scars that he suffered from torture inside a North Korean prison camp.
Shin was born in a North Korean prison in 1982 and made a daring escape in 2005. He allowed The Daily Signal to film his back and buttocks, which were burned when he was hung above a charcoal fire.
“As the fire started rising up toward my back,” Shin said, “I could feel that it was scorching hot, and I could even smell my own flesh burning.”
This week, the U.N. Security Council met in New York, and Shin is hoping the international community will recognize what’s happening in North Korea.
