One might have to be a little older maybe to understand how important this is when expressing your dissatisfaction with the person on the other end of the line.
Like the note states here, violently punching the 'end call' button can't do justice to how you feel. There isn't that same satisfaction of slamming the phone down with that loud crashing sound.
