Airline Co-Pilot Earns Less Then Beginning Teacher

This is interesting in that the entry level co-pilot get less then a beginning teacher. That's nice to know given if the pilot has a problem and the co-pilot has to take over, one has to wonder why is this guy seating in the Right seat for so little money and a lot of responsibility?

True it's the only way to make it to the Left seat in the airline business, but doesn't elevate the fear of passengers to who and what the co-pilot is all about.
