Republicans have a stored history that shows them to be honest and true but also gutless and mostly spineless.
It seems they are for the most part are great at defending the nation honor and privilege, but when it comes to leading, they hide from the task. Too many years of just wanting ''to et along to go along'' has weakened their resolve for what the nation once stood for so proudly over the years, ''Truth, Honor, Integrity and the Freedom to choose''!
Even with Trump now trying his best to right the ''ship of state,'' after the 4 years of democraaat's treasonous behavior trying to steal the very heart of the nation for themselves, many Republicans are actually and actively seeking some kind of middle ground where they can reach across the fence and show their felty to the big picture of a active participation in a bipartisan government!
And we have all witnessed first hand how well that has worked out in the past!!
