These are not particularly stupid animals, it's just that they are found to be on occasion to be irrational and therefore very hard to train to be useful members of the team.
Even so, given their history for being problems, they still don't want to be linked to the democraaat organization as it drags their character and identity into the place where they are seen as something even less then just being Jackasses.
Totally understandable!
