When it comes time to do what has to be done, and knowing it will make you look bad or stupid but in your heart it's the right thing to do, you go foreyard!
Know this, nothings free! There is a cost for everything. It's just that some of the costs might out weight the benefits of what of making the right decision at the time.
In the end, the decision depends on a combination of your knowledge and experience in life's dark moments, and the good feeling of results of making the right choice at the right time. On the other hand if you lived a sheltered life, then maybe when it comes time to pay the tab, things might not be to your choosing!
